Krüger A/S is officially certified in the Sustainable Development Goals

Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification services, has given us the green light - We are now a certified sustainable business! This benefits both customers, society and of course the environment.

June 6-7 we were audited by Bureau Veritas in the SDG’s  and the result is now clear - we are certified! It is a hallmark of our targeted work towards sustainability.

The certification is based on the assessment method from Bureau Veritas as a third party. The method assesses a company's ability to work with the 17 SDG’s and the 169 related goals defined by the UN. For two days, Bureau Veritas therefore reviewed our business by e.g. auditing most of our departments.

Rarely seen work

Bureau Veritas concluded that we have initiated SDG activities in all product areas, reflecting a serious approach to working with the SDGs and sustainable development.

"It is very rare for a company in their products and services to contribute directly to several 17 SDG goals and 169 sub-goals - but Krüger is one of them," says Ole Overgaard, Lead Auditor / Senior Consultant at Bureau Veritas.

CEO, Leif Bentsen greatly appreciates the certification:
"We have worked strategically with the SDG’s for a long time, so I am very pleased that Bureau Veritas has now certified us as a sustainable company. This is important for our business that is centered around sustainability. For example, we will not participate in projects that do not contribute positively to the SDG’s. In addition, it will benefit our customers through the solutions we provide. ”

With the certification, we will increase our efforts in relation to the environment and sustainability. We will work to find solutions that benefit society, climate and customers, while at the same time making optimal use of resources.

Team Effort

"It is the result of a great team effort that we have come this far. In the process, we have given the organization a great deal of freedom to work with the SDG’s - it has unleashed creativity and delivered results in the form of many different ideas and initiatives. Now we need to start systematizing and improving our ability to document and follow the progress, ”says HR and Communications Director Anne Abraham.

We are looking forward to further contributing to the World Goals and sustainable development!
